Karen previously worked as a portrait artist, but had always writen songs. When Gary Kemp and Jess Bailey heard her songs, they encouraged her to continue spilling her heart and focus on her music.

She has also recently been in the studio with producer Yoad Nevo (Girls Aloud, Jem, Pet Shop Boys).

Karen is also working on a musical TV show called "Popstars and Pilots" which has received some media attention recently.
